Objectives of the Course | |||||
Development stages of mathematical thinking, especially the number and shape concepts, the theoretical approaches and research on the development of the number concept, and the design of similar research in school and out-of-school environments, from birth to 10 years old. Theoretical approaches and practices on the development of mathematical thinking in children, the development of numbers and arithmetic concepts in children, student's difficulties in learning basic mathematical concepts, effective mathematics teaching practices, design of student activities that allow mathematical exploration; It includes designing active mathematics learning activities, developing tools for determining student difficulties in mathematics, applying the related theories, examining researches about how students learn mathematics. |
