Objectives of the Course | |||||
The main purpose is to introduce students to the basic topics of sociolinguistics and to show their applications in language and education. |

In this course, information is given about the areas and forms of sociolinguistics; The students are taught that there are different uses of language in society and how these differ according to the region, social classes and ethnic origins; At the end of the course, students will be able to grasp how language use changes in a society and how sociolinguistics relate to language teaching. | ||
