Objectives of the Course
To put forward the concept and scope and process of historical development of Rural sociology. To introduce the development of rural sociology in Turkey and its historical process. To put forward the basic concepts of sociology in the village and to demonstrate its relationship with other branches of science. To explain the Inter-community relations and the organization. To demonstrate the importance and the place of rural communities within the economy, culture of the country. To examine the religion, culture, marriage, settlement, and ways of life of rural communities.

The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 In general, sociology, rural sociology in particular, can explain the basics information. PO-1 1. Can understand the basic concepts regarding the sociology programs.
PO-2 2.Can transfer and adapt what they have acquired in the field of Sociology to other disciplines.
Examination
LO-2 Rural development of the country that can explain place and about the importance of sociology. PO-1 1. Can understand the basic concepts regarding the sociology programs.
PO-5 5. Can dedicate to improve themselves by keeping abreast of the developments in science, technology and modern topics.
PO-6 6. Can assess and evaluate the data making use of the advanced knowledge and skills that they have acquired in the field, to define and analyze the issues connected with current technological developments finding ways to offer solutions to those issues based on the researched and evidence.
PO-8 8. Can collaborate both intra- and interdisciplinarily by planning and managing the activities regarding the development of the members subordinate to them.
