Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to analyze the meanings of aesthetics and art concepts through philosophers' thoughts and to recognize theories for philosophy.

LO-1 Recognizes the subject, scope and limits of aesthetics as a discipline PO-1 Developing skills of analytic and synthetic thinking, reading and writing.
PO-3 Conducting research on, and developing methods in solving, philosophical problems treated in philosophical texts.
PO-8 Understanding, resolving and – if need be – manipulating singular problems confronted in sub-disciplines of philosophy.

Course Contents
The course will analyze the aesthetic and artistic concepts that come from the views of ancient philosophers towards art, to the founder of aesthetics, to Baumgarten, and then to modern thinking.
