Objectives of the Course
In this course, what psychosomatic psychopathology is, its basic concepts and historical development will be explained. The important theoretical terms and treatment techniques in this clinical approach that developed after Freud's will be explained.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Knows what the concept of psychosomatics is and what it explains. PO-
LO-2 Defines and explains the basic concepts of psychosomatic psychopathology. PO-
LO-3 Knows the historical development of the concept of psychosomatics in general. PO-
LO-4 Learns the psychosomatic theory that developed by Freud. PO-
LO-5 Learns under which headings psychosomatic disease is classified. PO-
LO-6 Explain what is psychosomatic patient within the framework of various theories, especially psychoanalytic theory. PO-
LO-7 Acquire general information about psychosomatic approach in infants, children, adolescents and adults. PO-
LO-8 Gains knowledge of the treatment of psychosomatic psychopathologies. PO-

Somatization in Psychology course includes a detailed examination of the concept of somatization and somatization disorders in psychology.
