Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to examine the formation, development and sustainment of close relationships such as marriage, dating, friendship. It is also to inform about the factors that lead to the end of the relationship, such as conflict, relational problems (jealousy, deception, etc.), abuse of relationships and divorce, and their emotional consequences.

LO-1 Can provide a wide range of information on the field of general interpersonal relations. PO-1 Knows the basic concepts related to psychology.

LO-2 Can examine the theories about interpersonal relationships comparatively. PO-1 Knows the basic concepts related to psychology.
PO-2 Adapts and transfers the knowledge they have acquired in the field of psychology to other disciplines

LO-3 Can describe the historical development of studies related to close relations. PO-1 Knows the basic concepts related to psychology.
PO-14 Has a basic level of knowledge of the fields of social sciences such as philosophy, sociology, anthropology and the fields of science such as biology and neuroscience, and uses this knowledge to develop psychology skills and to follow contemporary scientific publications.

LO-4 On the basis of scientific explanations, it examines research on close relationships. PO-3 Identifies, models and solves scientific problems in psychology and related fields.
PO-6 Interprets and evaluates data using advanced knowledge and skills acquired in the field, identifies and analyzes problems parallel to current technological developments, and develops solutions based on research and evidence.
PO-10 Follows national and international contemporary problems.

LO-5 The methods used in close relationship research give the ability to apply. PO-3 Identifies, models and solves scientific problems in psychology and related fields.
PO-6 Interprets and evaluates data using advanced knowledge and skills acquired in the field, identifies and analyzes problems parallel to current technological developments, and develops solutions based on research and evidence.
PO-15 Uses the information and communication technologies required by the field of psychology and has skills in statistics and measurement evaluation.
