Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course to teach students: Internal structure of the earth; minerals; rock cycle and types of rocks; the concept of time in geology; the concept of stress and deformation, related structures and their evolution; reinforce the subjects by solving related problems and with practice.

Course Contents
.Introduction to geology, structure of the earth, minerals and rock cycle. Weathering, soil and sedimentary rocks, magmatic rocks, metamorphic rocks, geologic time, basic geologic structures, geologic compass, scale concept, topographic maps, V-rule and related practices.
