Objectives of the Course
Teaching general properties of dental materials and their application, plaster, wax, metals, application of grading and polishing, casting and soldering in metal based applications

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Knows the general properties of materials and can interpret how to use materials in dentistry. PO-1 As a dentist, she/he has the basic knowledge of clinical and social sciences required by her profession and uses them throughout her/his life.
PO-5 As a 'Dentist' who has the ability to work individually, he/she makes decisions regarding treatment by using the relevant diagnostic methods, can take initiative, and expresses his/her professional ideas verbally or in writing, clearly and concisely.
PO-6 She/he uses all kinds of tools to ensure the oral and dental health required by the dentistry profession and has sufficient knowledge about the materials used in dentistry clinics.
Examination
LO-2 Having basic knowledge about the use of materials can increase their treatment practice. PO-1 As a dentist, she/he has the basic knowledge of clinical and social sciences required by her profession and uses them throughout her/his life.
PO-5 As a 'Dentist' who has the ability to work individually, he/she makes decisions regarding treatment by using the relevant diagnostic methods, can take initiative, and expresses his/her professional ideas verbally or in writing, clearly and concisely.
