Objectives of the Course
To give information about sociology of religion, issue and method. To handle the relations between religion and society with sociolocigal perspertive.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Can get information about sociology of religion. PO-1 1. Can understand the basic concepts regarding the sociology programs.
PO-9 9. Are able to express themselves in verbal and written communication having the ability to work individually, take initiatives and make their own decisions.
Examination
LO-2 Can have information about issue and method of sociology of religion. PO-2 2.Can transfer and adapt what they have acquired in the field of Sociology to other disciplines.
PO-5 5. Can dedicate to improve themselves by keeping abreast of the developments in science, technology and modern topics.
PO-12 12. Can make their knowledge regarding human health and environmental awareness available for the benefit of the society.
PO-13 13. Can know at least one foreign language at B1 level in the European Language Portfolio so that they can follow the developments in their field of study and exchange information or ideas with their colleagues abroad.

Course Contents
History of sociology of religion topic and method. Will go into detail about religious experience and its forms of expression, and other social institutions of religion functional relations. Religion and society, religious groups, social stratification and differentiation, religion and social integration will be taken into hand. Religious authority, religion - government relations, religious organizations and institutions, Presidency of Religious Affairs
