Objectives of the Course | |||||
The science and rules of genetics should be studied further than undergraduate education. The aim of this course is to inform science educators about inheritance, to improve their sensitivity, and to increase literacy on inheritance. |

Fundamentals of Mendelian genetics, extensions of Mendelian genetics and its application to true inherited phenomena, classical gene mapping methods as an introduction to modern mapping methods, genetics of complex traits (quantitative genetics), mutations and their changes at the gene and chromosome level, cytoplasmic inheritance factors (organelle genetics), the molecular basis of inheritance, regulation of gene expression. | ||
