Objectives of the Course
In this course, it is aimed to give theoretical and practical information by examining the structural and functional processes of the organism.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Learns the classifications, physical, chemical properties and functions of hormones. PO-1 Recognize animal species and breeds, structural and functional (anatomical, histological, physiological and biochemical, etc.) basic features.
PO-12 Recognizes and uses the scientific knowledge.
LO-2 Learns the classification, physical, chemical properties and functions of vitamins PO-12 Recognizes and uses the scientific knowledge.

Course Contents
This course is an introduction to biochemistry, energy production and vitality, protein chemistry, the structure and mechanism of action of enzymes, classification of enzymes, enzyme kinetics, vitamins, carbohydrate chemistry, carbohydrate metabolism, oxidative phosphorylation, lipid chemistry, lipid metabolism, nucleotides, synthesis and regulation of proteins, hormones It covers the explanation of acid-base balance and the functions of minerals.
