Objectives of the Course
In this course, to introduce basic nutrients (carbohydrate, fat, protein, mineral, vitamin and water), to teach their functions, to provide general information about feeds and feeds, general properties and nutrient contents of feeds, appraisal of feeds and nutrient requirements for farm animals. It is aimed to give information and to gain knowledge about the principles of ration preparation.

Course Contents
This course covers definitions of animal nutrition, basic nutrients, body needs, digestive systems and differences of different species, fodder plants, definition of forage and concentrate, feed additives, feed processing, ration preparation methods, nutritional disorders.
