Objectives of the Course
This course enables the student to learn the deviations from normal behavior, the basic principles, concepts, functions and processes of mental health and psychiatric nursing, the ways to develop human relations, and the knowledge, skills and understandings gained in this field to protect, maintain and develop the mental health of the individual, family and society, to protect the mental health of the individual, family and society. It aims to use the deteriorated individual effectively in his recovery and rehabilitation.

This course includes mental health and psychiatric nursing, the definition, history, philosophy, roles and responsibilities of psychiatric nursing, standards of practice, conceptual foundations of mental health and psychiatric nursing, psychotic disorders and nursing approach, mood disorders and nursing approach, anxiety disorders and nursing approach, personality. disorders and nursing approach, somotoform and dissociative disorders and nursing approach, psychosexual disorders and nursing approach, child and adolescent mental health, psychopharmacological treatments and the role of the nurse, psychotherapies and the role of the nurse, addiction and nursing approach, organic mental disorders and nursing approach, consultation- It covers liaison psychiatry and nursing, community mental health and nursing approach, and legal and ethical issues in psychiatry.
