Objectives of the Course
To be able to learn the types of communication and to explain the subject of written communication with examples. To be able to exemplify business writings and organizational correspondence and to comprehend the effectiveness of this type of correspondence in terms of form and content. To be able to comprehend report preparation techniques, report preparation process, form and content aspects of reports.

LO-1 This course will enable secretaries to grasp the techniques of professional correspondence. PO-9 Evaluates the basic level of knowledge and skills acquired in the field with a critical approach

Examination
LO-2 Can do business writings, official and private correspondence. PO-3 The Person works individually and as a team member, using the basic knowledge she has in the Person Area
PO-7 When faced with unforeseen situations in the field, it produces solutions by using its basic knowledge.
PO-8 Using the basic knowledge and skills she has in her field, she informs the relevant people and institutions, shares her thoughts and solutions to problems with experts and non-experts in writing and orally.
Examination
LO-3 May have sufficient knowledge about office automation. PO-1 Uses computer programs, tools and information technologies required for applications in the field.
PO-2 It acts in accordance with social, scientific, cultural and ethical values in the stages of collecting, interpreting, applying and announcing the results of the data related to the field.

Course Contents
The concept of communication, types of communication, factors affecting communication, written communication, form and content in written communication, organizational communication, the importance of written communication in organizational communication, correspondence techniques, spelling rules, language and expression disorders, commercial and official correspondence examples, official writing standards and types, report preparation, report writing techniques, purpose of reports, types, technical features, data collection in reports, processing, form and content of the report, footnotes.
