Objectives of the Course
This course provides introduction to biochemistry of macro- and micronutrients in order to understand the importance of nutritional materials, the functions of diet and supplements for a healthy life.

Course Contents
The structure and properties of biological molecules such as proteins, carbohydrates, lipids; metabolism, body composition and energy balance in the state of nutrition or starvation; fibrous foods, vitamin and mineral balance issues will be discussed.
