| The aim of this course is to provide students with knowledge and skills about the post-traumatic psychological counseling process, its principles and techniques, the positive and negative effects of trauma, and appropriate intervention methods. | |||||

PO-32 Provides services in a way that integrates cognitive, behavioral, emotional, cultural and spiritual dimensions in the counseling process with individuals and groups. |

| Definition, scope and types of trauma (natural disasters, man-made traumas, proxy trauma, secondary trauma etc.); reactions that can be seen in children, adolescents and adults after trauma and the factors affecting them, individual, familial and social consequences of trauma, possible psychological disorders caused by trauma (post-traumatic stress disorder, acute stress disorder, etc.); approaches and intervention methods to prevent the negative effects of trauma in humans; qualifications and competencies of the counselor who will work with traumatized people. | ||
