Objectives of the Course
The course is intended to help students to develop skills within a theoretical framework for the translation of the EU texts. It helps students understand the basic concepts and EU rhetoric used in the European Union studies both in Turkish and English and translate various types of EU texts such as regulations, directives and recommendations.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 learns the main functions of the institutions of the European Union. PO-1 To be able to make interdisciplinary research within the field
PO-2 To be able to have basic and specialized knowledge about the language and history of the cultures taught
PO-4 To be able to think analiytically
PO-6 To be able to provide cooperation with the related sectors
PO-7 To specialise either in translation or interpretation
PO-12 To easily be attuned to the current changes in the sector
PO-13 To have the abilities to orientate and transform the expectations of the sector
PO-14 To have a wide knowledge of terminologies of specific fields in both languages
PO-15 To be able to have knowledge of the terminology of various fields (Science, Social and Health Sciences etc.) and being able to use second foreign language and English both as a source and a target language
Examination
LO-2 can tranlate texts related to the European Union. PO-1 To be able to make interdisciplinary research within the field
