Objectives of the Course
The course aims to enable students to make oral presentations about important events and issues in Turkey and in the world in general. It is expected that students will have the background knowledge that will be necessary for the translation profession in the coming years by making use of media such as the internet, newspaper and television. The main purpose of the course is to ensure that students are equipped with both terminological and content knowledge about current issues that are on the agenda of the country and the world. Furthermore, this course is expected to increase students’ knowledge about the content as a prerequisite for Current issues 2 course
