Objectives of the Course
This course aims to introduce students to legal translation, which is a special field of translation. The subjects covered in the course include the nature and general characteristics of the legal language, the source of the difficulties encountered in legal translation, and the equivalence of legal texts.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 can explain the general characteristics and nature of the legal language, and difficulties encountered in legal translation. PO-16 To be able to identify the problems that may be encountered in the translation process and developing appropriate strategies to overcome these problems

LO-2 can compare the basic features of different legal systems. PO-14 To have a wide knowledge of terminologies of specific fields in both languages

Course Contents
Students will be able to understand the terminology of legal system either in source or in target language, and translate legal texts such as laws or written agreements.
