Objectives of the Course
The purpose of this course is to transfer the professional ethic topics, behavioural rules, professional organizations and official structures, situation of the market and working principles. This course covers topics such as profession of translator and its market relations, the realization of professional translation as profession, institutional approaches and practical examination, conducting research and discussion.

The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Can develop theoretical knowledge and skills related to Translator Professional Standards PO-3 To have problem solving skills to compete with the problems due to the cultural and lingual differences
PO-5 Not to swerve from the proffesional and ethic responsibilities
PO-7 To specialise either in translation or interpretation
PO-16 To be able to identify the problems that may be encountered in the translation process and developing appropriate strategies to overcome these problems
