Objectives of the Course
The course aims to enable the students to get the necessary skills for sight translation. Furthermore, it targets that the students to be fluent speakers of both languages, to focus on the message rather than the structure, to get used to different kinds of texts including speeches or informative documentary ones and to convey the message in an active way. This course covers the basic theory and techniques which are required to perform reading out a text (written in a different source language) in a target language accurately and fluently.

The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 can comprehend the importance of conceptual and terminological analysis in the texts to be translated. PO-2 To be able to have basic and specialized knowledge about the language and history of the cultures taught
PO-4 To be able to think analiytically
PO-8 To have a self awareness about the importance of the field for contemporary world and the role and identity of the translator/interpreter as an intercultural expert
PO-9 To have competence to use the latest translation and interpreting technology
PO-11 To have efficent elocation, diction and self expression skills for a sufficient use of language
