Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to show the students how the words have been formed in structure and by doing so to help them evaluate the meaning in a better way and to minimize their dictionary need. Secondly, it is aimed to increase students' vocabulary levels by studying the words in the context.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 can distinguish between words, phrases and sentences. PO-14 To have a wide knowledge of terminologies of specific fields in both languages

LO-2 can identify the inflections and derivations. PO-15 To be able to have knowledge of the terminology of various fields (Science, Social and Health Sciences etc.) and being able to use second foreign language and English both as a source and a target language

LO-3 can use the learned vocabulary through Anglosaxon, Latin and Greek affixes. PO-2 To be able to have basic and specialized knowledge about the language and history of the cultures taught
