Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to teach surveying and drawing.

The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Survey and Sketch purchase, learns the information based on the project drawing. Show the application steps PO-40 Gains basic knowledge of traditional and modern materials used in architectural structures.
PO-46 Information has about the building types of Ancient Anatolian Architecture and their development in the regions.
PO-48 Gains knowledge about the regional characteristics, plan types, building systems and building materials of traditional Turkish Houses.
PO-49 Gains knowledge about the basic principles and methods of survey, restoration, restitution and conservation.
PO-50 Gains general information about conservation and restoration.

LO-2 It can show the drawings of traditional buildings and building elements that enable them to be analyzed in terms of design and structure. PO-40 Gains basic knowledge of traditional and modern materials used in architectural structures.
PO-41 Architectural grouping of buildings; Gain terminological knowledge about the plans and architectural elements of important religious and civil architectural structures.
PO-47 Gains knowledge about the historical development of architectural decoration and the understanding of decoration in traditional architecture.

LO-3 Determining the current state of traditional buildings and building elements: environmental relations can show the methods applied for obtaining and documenting all the information that will form the basis for the restoration of the stages they went through. PO-39 Obtains theoretical knowledge about traditional building types and structure, makes structural applications using alternative materials.

Course Contents
Teaching the drawing of the building elements of historical and traditional buildings that enable them to be examined in terms of design and structure. Measuring techniques, using photographs, copying, etc. Explaining all kinds of surveying techniques such as Drawing and working principles with free hand and technical drawing rules. An in situ drawing of an important part of a traditional house or a survey of the facade of a historical building.
