Objectives of the Course
The main purpose of this course is to raise awareness about today's world problems, their causes and possible solutions.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Can summarize the causes of today's world problems. PO-15 Develops a positive attitude towards lifelong learning.
PO-17 Carries out studies in the fields of democracy, human rights and citizenship, which are close to the field.

Examination
LO-2 Can offer suggestions for the solution of today's world problems. PO-3 Communicates effectively with students, parents and stakeholders by using information and communication technologies effectively.

PO-5 Conducts original scientific researches in the light of scientific researches carried out domestic and abroad.

Examination
LO-3 Evaluates the place and importance of social studies course on the subject. PO-1 Uses teaching strategies, methods and techniques, assessment and evaluation instruments, taking into account the learning outcomes, by adapting them to student development characteristics, individual differences and needs.

Examining problems that are political, economic, ecological and social problems facing the world; hunger, poverty, human rights, population, racism, terrorism, landslide, erosion, earthquake, flood, drought, avalanche, traffic, noise pollution, air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution, urbanization, drug addiction etc.; energy problem and solutions; alternative views, environmental education, the place and importance of social studies course on this subject; sustainable society discussions and education.
