Objectives of the Course | |||||
To give information about political geography and the main views on political geography, to teach pre-service teachers a regular understanding of the physical, human and economic factors in political geography, as well as the political, military and economic organizations in the world, on the World and Turkey platform, to teach the factors that affect the politics of the country, to teach the effects of factors on the development of countries by comparing countries, to teach Turkey's environmental policy as a phenomenon |

The place of political geography in the science of geography, spatial analysis and the use of tools that facilitate learning; Key elements in learning political geography, continents and countries; positioning with latitude relations and determining climate zones, landforms and natural resources by using maps; physical factors in political geography; location, climate, vegetation, landforms, country forms, borders; human factors in political geography; population characteristics, settlement types, economic structure; theories of political geography (Greater Middle East Project, Clash of Civilizations Theory, global climate change); forming a theory of political geography by utilizing geographical features; Turkey's geopolitics, the world and country associations affecting Turkey; Political geography regions affecting Turkey (European Union, Middle East, Balkans, Cyprus, Caucasus and Central Asia); Political problems affecting the world and Turkey. | ||
