Objectives of the Course | |||||
The aim of this course is to know the definition, goals, characteristics of drama and to learn the techniques related to drama and to gain the necessary knowledge and skills in planning, implementation and evaluation of drama in social studies teaching. |

Definitions of drama in education, differences between drama and theater, content and introduction studies. Definition and content of psychodrama, creative drama, drama-game and educational drama, planning of creative drama in education. Historical development of drama practices with children, historical development of drama in Turkey. Application stages of drama in education (Creative drama), structuring of drama, components of drama. Qualifications of drama teacher in education, problems that the teacher may encounter, drama and sample applications in teaching social studies as a teaching-learning method. | ||
