Objectives of the Course
Turkish Independence War, Atatürk’s Revolutions and Principles, Thought System of Atatürk and giving right information about Turkish Republic, Turkey and Atatürk’ Revolutions and Principles, giving right information about Atatürk’s thoughts, uniting Turkish Youth around national goals and about unsperatable unity of the Country, Nation and Government with Atatürk’ Revolutions and Principles.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Can define the concepts of reforms history. PO-6 Makes planning, arrangement and evaluation in accordance with educational objectives and student needs in the light of social sciences and findings, theory and practice information related to social studies education produced by social sciences.

LO-2 Can discuss the collapse time of Ottoman Empire. PO-11 Has knowledge of the purpose, principle, vision, mission, structure and functioning of the Turkish education system, classroom management approaches and educational concepts.

Course Contents
First of all, after explaining the basic concepts, it covers the subjects of the collapse of the Ottoman Empire and the reform movements, the establishment stages of the new Turkish State, the preparation period of the Turkish Revolution and the Turkish War of Independence.
