Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to gain knowledge and skills to comprehend the rules of English grammar in detail and to use the grammar rules correctly at a level that will improve language skills.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 comprehend word structures, sentence structures, semantic features that occur in words, sentences and larger discourse. PO-8 Explain and apply the basic language skills in Turkish and English.
PO-9 Define and apply the approaches and methods in foreign language teaching.
PO-10 Practice teaching English language.
PO-11 List, define and analyze current publications in the field.
PO-13 Develop materials that can be used in English language teaching, adapt and evaluate ready-made materials.
PO-14 Translate from English to Turkish or Turkish to English.
PO-15 Analyze and teach basic language skills.

LO-2 easily recognize editing structures beyond the sentence dimension PO-4 Interprets the English course curriculum and develops appropriate daily lesson plans.

Course Contents
At the end of the term, students will be able to: •The patterns in the English language structure •Sound patterns/structures of spoken English •Word structures •Phrase structures •The semantic features of words, sentences and wider discourse •They will be able to easily recognize the arrangement structures beyond the sentence dimension and •One of the above-mentioned structural information They will apply one of them to the teaching of English.
