Objectives of the Course | |||||
This course aims to improve students’ awareness about teaching young learners and to help them work with children in an enjoyable way. It also aims to familiarize students with the technical terms related to young learners as well as common theories behind teaching children by engaging them age-appropriate teaching and learning activities. |

Introduction to Young Learners (YLs): Characteristics of YLs; How YLs think and learn; Determining priorities, syllabus, and coursebook; The nature of activities for YLs; Classroom Language; teaching language structures; Teaching vocabulary; Stories: Reading and telling stories; Classroom management; Assessing YLs. | ||
