Objectives of the Course
The objective of the course is to enable the students to develop their academic vocabulary considerably. To provide knowledge on lexeme as the most fundamental item of language as a system and different types of words and their usage in various contexts are among the other aims of the course.

Course Contents
Relationship between lexical items and structural forms, word formation including prefixes and suffixes, idioms, collocations, slang, euphemisms, neologism, proverbs and phrasal verbs in spoken and written language.
