Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to gain knowledge and skills about maps, the basic concepts of maps and map applications.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Reads and interprets maps. PO-13 Has a general knowledge compatible with his or her education level and social environment.
PO-22 Becomes a qualified instructor; joins the society as a well being social studies teacher, open to innovations, change and development, ready for the world of tomorrow.

LO-2 Knows the areas that different maps can use. PO-2 Uses information and information resources related to the field effectively.

Map; mapping techniques; map types and usage areas; Concepts about using maps and maps in social studies teaching; map usage practices in teaching space perception skills; application examples for map drawing and effective use of maps in teaching.
