Objectives of the Course
The aim of the course is to help the student distinguish and analyze the regional characteristics of the Classical, Hellenistic, and Roman Periods of the Cappadocia by the archaeological finds belonging to these periods.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Can distinguish local and foreign elements in the data of ceramics, architecture and small finds from settlements in the Cappadocia region. PO-1 Be able to conduct and present detailed research in accordance with scientific norms on a specific subject related to the field.
PO-2 Can approach analytically the problems encountered in practice and theoretical work.
PO-3 He/she can have expert knowledge on a specific subject related to his/her field.
PO-8 To be able to distinguish and analyze the period, style and chronology problems of archaeological data and material.
PO-12 History, geography, economics, anthropology, architecture, etc. can use the data of different scientific disciplines to solve the problems of Archeology.

Course Contents
The Cappadocia Region, which is an important region of Anatolia, will be investigated primarily in light of the data provided by modern excavations and research. Local and foreign elements in the data related to ceramics, architecture, and small finds belonging to the settlements identified in the region will be determined, and then it will be tried to determine from which cultural area the foreign influences on these regional elements originate.
