Objectives of the Course | |||||
The aim of this course is the unitary state and transformation of students; The regional approach of the EU and the EU and regional management practices in unitary states are discussed. In addition, the comparative unitary state phenomenon and provincial and local government structures will be examined in the historical process, and the applicability of regional administrations will be discussed within the framework of regional practices, suggested models, and possible positive and negative results. |

Course Contents | ||
The birth and development of the city will be discussed from a historical perspective in the course, which will start from the definition of the city and urbanization phenomena. Then, current trends such as metropolitanization and globalization will be discussed. The second part of the course will focus on urban governance, decentralization and decentralization. After mentioning the historical development of local governments in Turkey, the legal-administrative-financial framework and reform processes regarding local governments are examined. | ||
