Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to enable students to understand the process of change in the constitutional framework of power relations from the Ottoman Empire to the present; define the basic dynamics underlying the transformation of Turkish constitutionalism; To gain a perspective on contemporary law based on historical facts; The aim is to examine the constitutional development of Turkey from the Ottoman Empire to the present in a detailed and systematic way by comparing positive constitutional law with past experiences and enabling them to discuss today's global constitutional problems with a perspective extending from the local to the universal.

LO-1 Define the basic concepts of constitutional law. PO-1 Gain theoretical and practical compelling knowledge in the field of political science, management science, law, urbanization and environmental struggles.
PO-3 Explain the interaction between political science, management science, urbanization and environmental problems and law disciplines.
PO-9 Have adequate awareness of universal principles and values such as the rule of law, justice, equality, human rights and citizenship, health and environment.
Examination

Course Contents
The content of this course; Ottoman state structure and form of power, constitutional developments in the Ottoman period, Tanzimat movements and the first constitutionalization processes, establishment of the Republic and constitutional processes, 1921 Constitution period, 1961 Constitution and its emergence, 1982 Constitution and its basic principles, Legislative Body, Executive Body, Judiciary It covers the subjects of the body and the Constitutional Judiciary.
