Objectives of the Course | |||||
The aim of this course; Increasing the expert knowledge of the course participants about the theory of local government and the institutional/legal dimension of local governments in Turkey; obtaining information about the changing patterns of local governments both in the world and in Turkey; learning the concept of local government economy; Giving information about rapid urbanization and its consequences in Turkey; Discussions about institutional problems and development techniques in local governments. |

In this course; The definition of the concept of local government within the framework of public administration, the historical development of the concept of local government and the current structuring and functions of local governments in the world and in our country are discussed. In addition, the roles of Local Administrations in Turkish Public Administration are examined. | ||
