Objectives of the Course | |||||
To convey the conceptual and historical development of social policy, to examine current social policy problems, to discuss the phenomenon of poverty and social policies for disadvantaged groups together with influential actors. |

Course Contents | ||
The conceptual framework and scope of social policy; effects of globalization on social policy; The development of social policy in Turkey; the concept of poverty and the fight against poverty; social policies for the disadvantaged; the relationship between gender and social policy; current social policies regarding education, health, social security, employment and income distribution will be examined and discussed. | ||
