Objectives of the Course |
The aim of this course is to learn the basic concepts of Distance Education, the historical development of distance education, the studies on this subject in Turkey and in the world, to know the techniques and methods used in the preparation of distance education technologies, to teach distance education theories and theorists (Peters' Industrial Theory, Wedemeyer's Theory of Independent Study, Moore's Theory of Autonomy and Distance, Holmberg's Theory of Interaction and Communication, Moore's Theory of Interactional Distance, Perraton's Approach to Authenticity in Distance Education, Knowles' Androgogy Theory, Simonson's Theory of Equivalence, Keegan's Theory of Distance Educational Framework, Paulsen's Cooperative Freedom Theory, Saba's Dynamical Systems Theory, Anderson's Interaction Equivalence Theory, Siemens and Downes' Connectivism Pedagogy) learning-teaching theories' relationship with distance education, designing a selected content according to a selected distance education theory and development. To learn about the educational software used in distance education and the components in its design, to learn the software used in the preparation of course software in distance education with the Internet.
