Course Contents | ||
The aim of the course is to examine the origins of local pottery production in Central and Western Anatolia during the 1st millennium BC, the centers that produced it, and the research on the artists, and to reveal the chronology and distribution areas of ceramic groups produced in this period and geography. In addition, it is aimed to discuss the interactions and stylistic features of these locally produced Anatolian ceramics, to determine their place in trade and to compare them with imported groups. In this context, comprehensive information will be given on gray ceramic groups encountered in many centers of Northwestern Anatolia, Phrygian and Lydian ceramics, as well as ceramics produced in Western Anatolia and accepted as Eastern inspired (Ionia, Aeolian, Lydian and Carian Orientalizing ceramics, Fikellura ceramics) and the Ionia Black Figure ceramics that emerged after them. | ||
