Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to provide sufficient knowledge about the properties of fresh and hardened concrete and concrete production and technology.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Knows the effects of the constituent materials on the behaviour of concrete. PO-1 To be able to reach the theoretical and practical knowledge by doing scientific research in the field of Civil Engineering and to be able to use the obtained knowledge.
PO-2 To be able to carry out studies in the field of Civil Engineering, to be able to select and apply appropriate methods or methods for the purpose.
Examination
LO-2 Knows that different concretes can be produced according to the need. PO-1 To be able to reach the theoretical and practical knowledge by doing scientific research in the field of Civil Engineering and to be able to use the obtained knowledge.
PO-2 To be able to carry out studies in the field of Civil Engineering, to be able to select and apply appropriate methods or methods for the purpose.
PO-3 Designs and performs scientific researches and / or applications related to the field.

Course Contents
This course's content covers the materials that make up concrete, cements, aggregates, aggregate granulometry optimization, mix and maintenance water properties, use of admixtures, concrete mix calculation, fresh concrete and its properties, workability and its measurement, mechanical properties of hardened concrete, and factors that affect them.
