Objectives of the Course | |||||
The aim of this course is to enable the student to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies to observe how Medieval English literature and literary genres developed from the Anglo-Saxon period to the Renaissance period and to interpret selected literary works in the light of these developments. |

In this course, the Anglo-Saxon period, its history and literature are introduced, and information is given about Medieval English history, culture and literature. Examples of writers and works from Old English literature and Medieval English literature are examined. | ||
