Course Contents |
In the course, the post-1950 English novel is discussed in line with the socio-political developments and philosophical thoughts that emerged from the 1950s to the present, and the new theories, terms and concepts in which these forms of thought are expressed are examined. In the novels that will be discussed in the context of postmodern literary theory, the concept of the subject, the fragmentation of the subject versus the alienation of the subject, the shift of the focus of the novel from universality to locality, the complexity of time-space narratives, the questioning of the phenomenon of history and the position of the reader are discussed. |
