Objectives of the Course
The aim of the Islamic History 1 course is to provide students with a basic knowledge of the birth of Islam and its early developments. This course aims to enable students to understand historical processes by covering topics such as the emergence of Islam, the life of the Prophet Muhammad, the formation of the first Muslim community, the Mecca and Medina periods of Islam, and the period of the Four Caliphs. It also aims to analyze the political, social, economic and cultural developments of the early period of Islam.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Islamic History I course aims to introduce students to the process from the birth of Islam to the Abbasid period and to explain the important events, personalities and developments in this period. PO-10 Examines and develops social relations and the norms that guide these relations from a critical perspective and takes action to change them when necessary.

LO-2 To learn the life of Prophet Muhammad and his activities before and after his prophethood. PO-5 History and arts of Islam interpret, analyze and create new information by integrating the knowledge acquired in the field with information from different disciplinary fields.

LO-3 To comprehend the prophetic process and the events in the periods of Mecca and Medina. PO-2 History and arts of Islam understands the interdisciplinary interaction related to the field and conducts joint studies with different disciplines.
