Objectives of the Course
In general terms, the student's basic concepts of the sociology of religion, the emergence and development of the sociology of religion; It aims to enable students to acquire sufficient knowledge about the forms of expression of religious experience through theoretical, practical and sociological expression, relations between religion and society in general, the structures, development, change and functions of religious groups and communities, and types of religious authority.

Course Contents
The course covers the basic concepts of the sociology of religion, the emergence and development of the sociology of religion, different understandings emerging in the field of sociology of religion, forms of expression of religious experience (theoretical, practical and sociological expressions of religious experience); religion-society relations and interactions; religious groups, religious communities and their structures, social functions of religious groups and communities.
