Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to achieve the competence to master and teach one of the various selected outdoor sports.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Understands general definitions about nature sports. PO-1 They have knowledge of concepts and principles related to Sports Sciences, Coaching, Conditioning, and Performance Analysis in Sports.
PO-7 As a coach, they contribute to the development of sports infrastructure and acquire the necessary knowledge for training amateur, professional, and national athletes at national and international levels.
PO-25 They develop their professional knowledge and skills in a lifelong learning process by participating in national and international in-service training, courses, workshops, seminars, meetings, and conferences organized by institutions and organizations related to Sports Sciences, Coaching, Conditioning, and Performance Analysis in Sports.
PO-30 In addition to their attitudes and behaviors, they set an example for society with their cultural competence, acting in accordance with democracy, human rights, social, scientific, and cultural values, and professional ethical principles.

Course Contents
This course covers the definition and introduction of outdoor sports, equipment knowledge and application rules, alternative outdoor sports and camping sites, natural life and environmental awareness, hiking knowledge, orientation knowledge, map, compass, GPS use, survival in nature, search and rescue knowledge in summer and winter conditions, climbing and descent knowledge, activity planning, and reporting.
