Objectives of the Course
To teach students the basic principles and practices of the coaching profession, to emphasize the importance of ethics in coaching and to encourage ethical behavior in coaching practices. To develop skills in recognizing, evaluating and solving ethical problems that coaches may encounter.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Understanding basic coaching principles, practices and coaching philosophy. PO-1 They have knowledge of concepts and principles related to Sports Sciences, Coaching, Conditioning, and Performance Analysis in Sports.
PO-2 They have knowledge of the service delivery processes and procedures in the fields of Coaching, Conditioning, and Performance Analysis in Sports.
PO-4 They have the knowledge to monitor, interpret, evaluate, analyze, and apply publications and current studies conducted on different age groups.
Examination
LO-2 Learning basic training principles for athlete development and performance increase. PO-4 They have the knowledge to monitor, interpret, evaluate, analyze, and apply publications and current studies conducted on different age groups.
PO-5 They define the legal principles of the coach's duties, authorities, and responsibilities in accordance with the criteria and processes determined for the coaching education program.
Examination
LO-3 Understanding sports psychology and communication skills. PO-17 They work in sustainable relationships and communication by collaborating with colleagues and different disciplines.
PO-26 The coach uses effective communication skills from a psychosocial perspective while respecting the confidentiality of their athletes.
PO-33 They possess effective communication skills with other professionals related to the coaching profession.
Examination
LO-4 Understanding the importance of coaching ethics and promoting ethical behavior in coaching practices. PO-6 They define the process of planning, conducting, reporting, presenting, and developing scientific research related to coaching, including accessing information, designing research, and related statistical concepts within the framework of ethical rules.
PO-20 They acquire the ability to work effectively, efficiently, and ethically with other professionals and disciplines they interact with.
PO-29 They adopt an ethical and legal framework for the collection, recording, and reporting of necessary data in the evaluation and development of the training program.
PO-30 In addition to their attitudes and behaviors, they set an example for society with their cultural competence, acting in accordance with democracy, human rights, social, scientific, and cultural values, and professional ethical principles.

This course includes topics such as the concept and basic principles of coaching, the design, execution and adaptation of training programs, sports psychology and communication skills, coaching ethics, ethical problems that coaches may encounter and solution strategies, leadership in sports and team dynamics.
