Objectives of the Course
Gaining the concepts of sports biomechanics, learning current developments in sports biomechanics from the past to the present, obtaining information about biomechanical measurement and imaging in sports, gaining the behavior of producing sample questions and solutions in the biomechanical analysis of sports techniques, using and teaching the applications of coaches on the use of biomechanics in sports

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Gains basic knowledge and skills about sports biomechanics. PO-1 They have knowledge of concepts and principles related to Sports Sciences, Coaching, Conditioning, and Performance Analysis in Sports.
PO-2 They have knowledge of the service delivery processes and procedures in the fields of Coaching, Conditioning, and Performance Analysis in Sports.
PO-3 They can list short-term and long-term goals for different age groups to achieve the highest possible levels. In line with these goals, they can create training plans for both short and long terms and adapt them according to changing conditions.
PO-7 As a coach, they contribute to the development of sports infrastructure and acquire the necessary knowledge for training amateur, professional, and national athletes at national and international levels.
PO-9 They develop recommendations for identifying and preventing problems that may arise from sport-specific or general environmental conditions within a sport discipline.
PO-20 They acquire the ability to work effectively, efficiently, and ethically with other professionals and disciplines they interact with.
Examination

Course Contents
Anatomical Terms and Concepts; Anatomical structures: Muscles, Joints, Bones; Basic Structures of the Human Body: Cell, Tissue, Organs and system structures; Planes, Axes, Functions of muscles during contraction and joint movements; Muscles involved in movements: Upper extremity muscles, Elbow joint muscles, Lower extremity muscles, Muscles affecting the hip joint and knee joint.
