Objectives of the Course | |||||
The student will be able to comprehend advanced principles of tonal harmony; define modulation, alteration, extended and delayed harmonic functions; compare different harmonic approaches and use the theoretical knowledge in harmonic writing applications. |

PO-1 Students who successfully complete the Master of Performing Arts program will be familiar with high-level concepts related to their program. PO-2 Are familiar with the formation and harmonization of scales, accompanying chords, cadences, secondary dominants, creating chords of triphonic and quadraphonic sounds, modal change chords and tension sounds. PO-3 Have a basic knowledge of measurement systems, musical signs, arrays and intervals and tonality etc.They are also familiar with the basic rules, techniques and terms of music, able to read musical notes and write what they hear in musical notes. |

This course includes the development of vertical and horizontal polyphony, work analysis, analysis of written works of art, knowledge, skills and ability to compose, as well as the studies of bringing the harmony knowledge that students receive in undergraduate semesters to a higher level in classical and modern period music. | ||
