Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to enable students to develop critical thinking skills in the fields of sports sciences and physical education; to enhance their abilities in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and logical reasoning in sports-related contexts; and to support them in making more informed and effective decisions in their professional fields.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Explain the basic concepts and importance of critical thinking. PO-8 Gains knowledge in sports psychology, leadership, and motivation and can apply this knowledge while working with athletes.
PO-13 Acquires theoretical knowledge in sports management and organization and can apply it in the sports industry.

LO-2 Analyzes and evaluates the arguments encountered in the fields of sport sciences and physical education. PO-3 Can effectively carry out data collection, analysis, and reporting processes related to sports sciences.
PO-11 Adopts multidisciplinary approaches in sports sciences and can collaborate with other disciplines.

Course Contents
This course includes the definition, importance, and core components of critical thinking; valid and invalid forms of reasoning; the analysis and evaluation of arguments; the recognition of common fallacies and logical errors; examples and applications of critical thinking in sports sciences literature; and the instruction of critical thinking approaches for identifying, analyzing, and developing solutions to sports-related problems.
