Objectives of the Course | |||||
The aim of this course is to introduce traditional and modern teaching models used in physical education and sports instruction; to examine their theoretical foundations and application methods; and to ensure the integration of innovative approaches and technologies into the educational processes. The course aims to develop students' ability to analyze different teaching methods, select the appropriate methods, and apply them effectively. |

Course Contents | ||
This course includes the fundamental concepts in physical education and sports; the role, function, objectives, philosophy, and relationship with other sciences of physical education and sports in education and instruction; the future of career fields in physical education and sports; the place and function of Turkish education and sports institutions; planning instructional activities; writing goals and behavioral objectives in accordance with step-by-step classification; transforming objectives into behavior; the definition of teaching methods and the factors affecting their selection; command method, drill method, cooperation method, self-monitoring method, participation method, guided discovery method, problem-solving methods; structural analysis of movement in physical education and sports instruction; the basic structures of sporting movements; the qualitative formation of cyclical and non-cyclical movements; current teaching approaches and models; the use of teaching technologies; measurement and evaluation methods in sports; the application areas of tests; steps in test development; and the validity and reliability studies. | ||
