Understanding sociological aspect, status, types and dynamics of family institution and discussing family with a critical perspective. |

LO-1 | Can explain history of the family as an institution. |
PO-1 1-Have an advanced level of knowledge about the recent and best practices in Sociology, deepen and expand their knowledge on the expert level, conduct and assess the analyses by employing statistical methods.
PO-4 4-Have the qualification and capability to gain admission to doctoral programs, R&D units or occupations related to the field with the knowledge they have gathered in the field. PO-8 8-Evaluate how the important personalities, events and phenomena that have made essential contributions to the development of Sociology that might have impact on their field of practice. PO-9 9-Transfer in a systematical way the latest developments in Sociology and their field of study reinforcing with qualitative and quantitative data to the groups either concerned with the field or not by verbal, visual and written means. |

LO-2 | Can explain basic concepts and approaches about sociology of family |
PO-1 1-Have an advanced level of knowledge about the recent and best practices in Sociology, deepen and expand their knowledge on the expert level, conduct and assess the analyses by employing statistical methods.
PO-2 2-Plan experiments and carry out original researches in the field by making use of the theoretical and practical knowledge at the expert level that they have obtained in their field. PO-3 3-Make use of the knowledge they have in order to find a solution to problems by analyzing, comparing and questioning them and can carry out original research in the related field on their own. PO-4 4-Have the qualification and capability to gain admission to doctoral programs, R&D units or occupations related to the field with the knowledge they have gathered in the field. PO-10 10-Monitor and supervise the social, scientific, cultural and ethical values in the process of collecting, interpreting, implementing and publishing the data related to the field of Sociology and teach those values. |

PO-7 7-Are able to make use of computer software as well as communication and information technology required by the field of Sociology at an advanced level. PO-8 8-Evaluate how the important personalities, events and phenomena that have made essential contributions to the development of Sociology that might have impact on their field of practice. PO-9 9-Transfer in a systematical way the latest developments in Sociology and their field of study reinforcing with qualitative and quantitative data to the groups either concerned with the field or not by verbal, visual and written means. The smallest unit of society, the nucleus and one of the basic institutions of the family, the establishment of the family, types of marriage and marriage, family types, violence and divorce in the family, family theories, fragmented families, current risks that threaten the family, Turkish family structure, family relations with other institutions, family and health, family communications, family policies. | ||
